cool store & dig they support LSU design students. great place also to pick up locally relevant/hilarious tee & baby onesies. really like the designs they support after the oil spill. great LSU themes, as well.

"Go figure a city with 2-million t-shirt shops in the French Quarter and none of them were worth wearing." - designers of "Dirty Coast". So true, so true. Besides, you can find the best Louisiana-inspired-haute-art shirts here. Storyville does what all artists dream about...truly supports local art. Want to make your own statement? The folks at Storyville will do that for you as well. You can choose from the plethora rof really great, avant garde designs or create your own and have heat-transferred right there in the shop. It's 70's cool all over again. But the local, Louisiana designers that contribute to the stock at Storyville really make this tiny shop shine. Forget the "I saw yer Boobs on Bourbon St.!" shirts and get something worth wearing from this cool little store.

This place has some of the most original t-shirts I've ever seen. They have tons that hold a special place in the hearts of those raise in south eastern Louisnana

It was so good to see LSU alums opening up shop on Chimes Street. They feature nearly all Louisiana designers and are heavily involved in keeping Chimes street locally owned. Their pre-made designs manage to be cool, cheeky, and wearable all at the same time. I've even had a couple shirts made on a whim and it only takes between 20 minutes and an hour, depending on how busy they are. Even though I didn't shop there regularly, it was always nice to walk by and see them doing well.

I may be biased since my future in-laws own this place but Storyville really is an amazing store. Run by the Harvey-Durham family (Josh, Elizabeth, Seth, Rebekah, Gabe, Mercie & Blake) who are all LSU alum or students, Storyville fills a niche for fun, casual, t-shirts made by designers from all over Louisiana and one designer from NY/LA called Filth Mart (one of my best friends...had to drop that in there!). While the local tees are amazing the best part of Storyville is that you can "wear your story" by literally having anything put on a blank American Apparel tee that your imagination can summon. Their great location on Chimes St. allows for a stampede of students and locals alike to come in and create a custom tee for the next fraternity or sorority function, celebration of a Tiger's victory, or you can even make a tee for your Grandma's birthday. Storyville will also feature art from local artists and students and they love them some parties so go to their website to find out about upcoming events which are usually catered by my lovely fiancee Seth who is an amazing chef (lucky for you and me)! The shop is brand new but already looks like it has been around for years- it is hard to describe what makes a place look so comfortable in it's own skin but Storyville has managed this look right off the bat. Cheers to continued success!
